Makayla, as a project assistant to Dr. Adesola Akinleye, helped facilitate a workshop for Ballet I and Ballet III students. During the workshop, students were encouraged to explore the concept of dancing the drawing, and drawing the dance. This workshop was informed by Dr. Adesola Akinleye and visual artist Andrew Hinton's creative research.
2024
Makayla produces a evening of dance and visual art with original choreography, musical composition, and acrylic pour paintings. This event was supported by a Micro Artist Grant from the Greater Denton Arts Council
